Powertex Small 500g

Powertex: the versatile, environmentally friendly, acid free, water based universal medium which can used as a fabric/textile hardener/stiffener and also combined with other products from the Powertex range to create a whole range of clays and texture pastes.

Powertex air dries and becomes rock hard. Speed up the drying process using a hairdryer on a cool setting. 

Powertex is very safe to use, it is vegan and non-toxic. 

Powertex has three core applications

1. Fabric Hardener - use to sculpt fabric, textiles and other natural materials
2. Paint - Powertex makes a wonderful painting medium
3. Glue - apply directly to surfaces to use as an adhesive

Powertex will adhere to almost all materials and surfaces except plastic. 

To use Powertex as a Fabric Hardener

• Pour some Powertex into a container and dip your fabric into the Powertex, ensuring the fabric is thoroughly covered but not dripping wet
• Drape your fabric around a frame or armature or shape it freehand
• Finish your sculpture by adding colour

Allow to cure for 3 weeks before placing outside
