Anti-Bullying and Respect Policy
Anti-Bullying & Respect Policy
At Powertex UK, we are committed to maintaining a creative, supportive and inclusive space for artists, crafters, customers (both adults and children), tutors and trade partners alike. Whether online or in-person, everyone deserves to feel respected, safe and valued.
We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, intimidation or any form of defamation whether subtle or overt. Our community is built on integrity, collaboration and mutual respect. Any behaviour that undermines these values is not welcome in our network or brand spaces.
We are aware that individuals who have been removed from our network for serious breaches of trust, ethics, or professionalism may attempt to cause harm or confusion online. This may include posting malicious, defamatory, or passive-aggressive content. Please know that these individuals are not affiliated with Powertex UK or our official tutor network, and their actions do not represent our values.
If you encounter harmful content online, we advise the following:
- Report to the platform (e.g. Facebook) if the post breaches terms or constitutes bullying or harassment.
- Report to the police if the content is abusive or causes distress, harm, or alarm.
- Contact us directly if the content appears in any of our groups or relates to Powertex UK, so we can act swiftly.
Do not engage with harmful posts. We understand that it can be tempting to try and defend or correct a false narrative but engaging can often escalate matters and may lead to retaliation where the poster turns on you. Instead, disengage and report appropriately.
If we encounter bullying or harassment within our spaces, we take it seriously. We reserve the right to remove any individual from any and all of our platforms, programmes, groups, or networks—without prior warning or explanation—if their behaviour is found to be harmful, dishonest, or in breach of our values.
This includes:
- Removal from our private Facebook groups or online forums
- Exclusion from events, workshops, or promotions
- Removal from our official Certified Tutor network or Trade Partner status, if applicable
We are not obligated to enter into dialogue or justify these actions. Our priority is protecting the wellbeing of our community and upholding the integrity of the Powertex UK brand.
Powertex UK aims to lead by example and encourage respectful discussion, shared success, and kindness. We thank you for upholding these values with us.
If You’ve Been Involved
We understand that, at times, individuals may become involved in inappropriate behaviour either inadvertently or in the heat of the moment. Should you recognise this and wish to engage in a more constructive and respectful manner moving forward, we welcome open and honest dialogue. Taking responsibility and genuine reflection is valued within our community.
Conversely, we take a strong stance against the misuse or weaponisation of the term bullying, particularly when used to deflect criticism or discredit others. Such actions not only undermine legitimate experiences of harm but also erode the trust and safety we work hard to uphold.
Please reach out privately if you wish to clarify your position, rebuild trust, or reconnect with our community. Integrity includes taking responsibility, and we will always respect those who choose to do so in good faith.
We are proud of our community. We work hard to ensure it is a place of positivity, creativity and kindness. Thank you for being a part of it.
