What does the retreat include?

Everything you need is provided on this two-day retreat, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy the experience without any worries.

• Two full days of expert-led workshops
• Saturday evening extra creative session

Hot drinks, morning and afternoon refreshments and a lunch is included on both days. 

All art and craft materials and equipment are included, you will not be asked to purchase any extras for the projects and there are no hidden or surprise charges. 

The all-inclusive package also includes;

• on-site overnight accommodation on Saturday night (you will have your own bedroom and not be asked to share rooms!)
• an evening meal on Saturday night in the hotel restaurant
• relaxed creativity on Saturday night
• breakfast on Sunday morning 

Itinerary

Full details of the retreat will be revealed nearer the time but here is an overview of the retreat schedule.

Day One - Saturday 10th April

• 10am arrival
• Welcome drinks and introduction
• Creative morning

• Dinner - 6pm
• Evening creativity 8pm - 9.30pm - this is optional and simply a chance to continue working on your project but if you feel too tired, your retreat projects won't be affected by missing this.

Day Two - Sunday 11th April

All-inclusive package includes buffet breakfast

• 9.30am start
• Creative morning 
• Mid-morning break and refreshments
• Creative time
• Lunch

• Finish 3-4pm 
  • Dinner - 6pm (Extended Experience)
  • Relaxed creative time 7.30pm - 9.30pm - work on your retreat projects whilst sharing a cocktail or mocktail (Extended Experience)

The Extended Experience (not included in this ticket) includes evening meal and overnight stay on Sunday

Day Three - Monday 12th April

Extended Experience includes buffet breakfast

• 9.30am start
• Creative morning adding those finishing touches
• Mid-morning break and refreshments
• Creative time
• 12pm - working Lunch (sandwiches and crisps)
• Finish 12.30pm

You will have the space and guidance you need to create freely, without any pressure. Let us worry about the time, you won't need to clock-watch. 

You will have flexibility and creative choice within the project framework. Having freedom to make personal choices with your project is important to us and you. 

The projects include a wide variety of products to enhance your creative learning experience. 

Plenty of drinks, refreshments and decent food.

Time to relax and interact with your fellow guests. 

We are now brainstorming ideas for the FIRE projects for this retreat, there are so many exciting options! They will ensure you have the opportunity to maximise your learning potential without racing to complete several projects. We would like you to fully immerse yourself in creating something you are delighted with, that challenges you in a supportive way whilst also being entirely achievable. 

All of the tools and materials are provided for you, you will not be asked to share items and we won't penny-pinch! 

The number of places for this retreat are limited.

We would like to remind you  that Powertex is a lot of fun, therefore will not be any forced gaiety, awkward ice-breakers or karaoke! 

About the Venue

The entire retreat takes place at one venue - the Kings Court Hotel. 

Our creative space for this retreat is in a beautiful beamed, large open-space with our own private breakout area, bar and restrooms. It's lovely not to share with strangers and also to know we are surrounded by friends for the whole event. 

We are very lucky to have the choice of several retreat locations in close proximity to Tex Towers in the midlands. With very careful consideration, we have chosen this one because originally the hotel was an independent, family-owned establishment, however, it has since collaborated with small chain BUT we are regular, firm favourites here which means we got personal care and attention, we are not treated like a faceless number and that is very important to us at Powertex. 

The hotel has a fully-functioning restaurant and main meals are enjoyed there.

The venue is fully accessible and has a large carpark with parking just outside the entrance doorway. 

The all-inclusive package includes overnight accommodation on Saturday, your evening meal and breakfast on Sunday. You will have your own bedroom and not be asked to share rooms. We are unable to offer discounts for sharing rooms. 

There are no public transport links to the hotel so we recommend booking a taxi if you are travelling by train. 

The nearest train stations are Redditch (15 minutes drive), Henley-in-Arden (20 minutes drive) and Warwick Parkway (30 minutes drive). 
Local Taxi - Amber Crystal - 01527 853 333, quoted £14 from Redditch train station to the venue. 

You have the option to book either;

• day-time only package (which includes both full days but does not include the additional creative evening session, overnight accommodation or the evening meal)
• all-inclusive - both full days plus creative evening, overnight accommodation at the venue, 3 course evening meal and breakfast on Sunday morning
• Extended-Experience - this is an additional ticket that can only be purchased after you have booked your All-Inclusive Retreat Ticket
• Relaxed-Arrival - this is accommodation on Friday night at the hotel and breakfast on Saturday morning - optional if you prefer to book everything in one go. 

Please note - the additional options to book the Relaxed Arrival and Extended Experience are only available to book after you have confirmed your all-inclusive ticket. Look out for an email after booking. 

Payment Plan Option**

You can spread the cost with monthly instalments of £50 over 11 months, plus a £149 deposit.

The Early Bird offer is not available on payment plans. Stars member discounts will still apply and will be deducted from the deposit.

Once booked, you will receive an email within 48 hours requesting payment of the deposit. This is payable immediately upon receipt to secure your place.

Cancellation & Transfers

In the unlikely event that Powertex UK cancels the event, you will receive a full refund immediately upon notification of the cancellation. 

All bookings are final and non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another person. You must inform us of the new attendee’s details in advance.

We do not guarantee resale of tickets and are not responsible for finding a replacement attendee.

For bookings made via payment plan, all instalments are legally due and must be paid in full, regardless of attendance or cancellation.

We strongly recommend ensuring you are able to attend before booking, as this policy is in place due to upfront venue and event costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What ability or experience level should I have for the retreat?
A. The projects will have plenty of scope to stretch your skills if you are experienced yet are able to be simplified for novice crafters. You will be introduced to a wide range of products and techniques and given plenty of guidance and support in applying them or creative freedom to 'play' if you prefer!

Q. I'm travelling on my own, will I be the only person who doesn't know anybody?
A. Absolutely not! Most of our retreat attendees are coming alone and everybody has Powertex in common. Expect a warm, friendly welcome and inviting atmosphere. 

Q. I'm travelling a long way and may wish to book an extra night's accommodation, how do I do this?
A. You can book an extra night directly with the hotel. Call 01789 763111 and tell them you are attending the Powertex event. 

Q. I have booked a day-time-only ticket, can book the Extended Experience?
A. No, the extended experience is only available to all-inclusive ticket holders. 

Q. I have some additional needs, are you able to accommodate me?
A. Powertex should be enjoyed by everybody who wishes to take part, please let us know how we can support you and we'll make it happen. 

Q. My friend/ partner wishes to join me but not take part in the retreat, is this possible?
A. We would need to arrange this with the hotel to ensure you are not in a single room, there would be an additional charge for the extra person, please let us know so we can request this with the venue. 

Q. Can I change my mind after booking a ticket?
A. Due to the nature of this event and the upfront costs involved, all bookings are non-refundable. If you are no longer able to attend, you are welcome to transfer your place to another person, just let us know so we can update our records. Where possible, we may be able to help via a waiting list, but this is not guaranteed.

Q. Can I resell my ticket if I am unable to attend?
A. Yes, of course but you must notify us of the new persons name and contact details. You may not resell your ticket anonymously and we reserve the right to refuse entry for unknown persons. 

Q. I live close by so don't need accommodation but would like to attend the evening meal and creative activities, is this an option?
A. Yes it is, we'd be delighted to offer this. Please send us an email and we will book your meal, there is an additional charge of £150 for this.

Q. Is there any evening entertainment planned?
A. Yes! There is a relaxed, optional evening creative session on Saturday. 

Q. What do I need to bring?
A. Everything is supplied that you need, you may wish to bring a box to carry your projects home safely. 

Q. Are there any additional costs?
A. Everything is included except alcoholic drinks and drinks from the hotel bar outside of the event. All materials, meals and refreshments, hot drinks and afternoon tea are included. 

Q. Can I buy Powertex at the event?
A. Yes you can! We wont have the full range of products at the event, this would be impossible, but you will be able to purchase goodies and if you'd like anything specific, please let us know beforehand and we'll ensure it is there for you.
