The Foundations Course has been designed specifically in response to feedback from Certified Tutors who have joined Powertex and reported on what they needed to become a success, from people who have wanted to join in the past but the two-day practical training was not enough to get-going so held themselves back, and from my own experience of undertaking the Certified Tutor Training. It's where my journey started and I share it all with you in this course. 

The Fabric Sculpting and Stone Art practical training have both been included within this course in order to give you a comprehensive skillset using Powertex products. Previously these have only been available as individual courses - you can teach advanced and varied workshops from the get go and appeal to a broad range of perspective artists and crafters.

Book your practical training at any of the Academy venues at a time to suit you - the Fabric Sculpting course, Level One, is recommended first and you must have undertaken both practical courses before the end of December. 

The online Business Development Training course is available after your first initial online meeting and you have lifetime access to this course, it is the framework for the foundations of your business, take it at your own pace. There is an optional, live weekly session for this part of the course too which provides a great opportunity for feedback and Q&A's. 

The number of attendees on the practical training courses are kept small so you receive individual attention, guidance and support. There are a large number of dates available so in the first instance, you will be asked for your preferred venue and then given a list of dates for the practical courses. We will always be as flexible as possible with these, offering both weekday and weekend options.

If paying by instalments, you must have completed all the payments before your final practical training takes place. 

Cancellation policy

Due to the instant delivery of the online element, no refunds for this course will be given.  Please ensure you are 100% certain you wish to proceed with this training course before committing yourself! Once the online training has started or you have undertaken any practical training, no refunds will be given. 

FAQ 

Why is the price increasing?
Because the programme is being expanded with new online practical modules, more flexible learning options, and additional tutor support. The Foundations Programme has evolved significantly and now offers a higher level of training and outcomes.

Do I need to wait for the 2026 version?
Not at all. All students who enrol now will receive the same certification and will have access to the updated content as it rolls out.

What if I only want practical training?
A new technique-only training route (online) will be introduced separately for those not pursuing tutor training. Details will be released soon.
