1. Who supplies Powertex in the UK?
Powertex UK is the exclusive authorised distributor of Powertex products across the UK. We sell Powertex directly to our customers and through our authorised Stockists and Certified Tutors. All Powertex stock is sourced directly from Powertex International. If you're unsure whether a seller is authorised, please contact us.
2. Has anything changed with products or prices recently?
No changes have been made to the official product range or formulation in the UK. We’re committed to keeping prices fair and shipping efficient. We believe all of our trade partners should be paid fairly and as a legitimate UK business, we pay our taxes and import duties! We do not support underhand practices that may disrupt our manufacturers or small business producers. If something seems unusual or inconsistent, check in with us, they may indicate an unauthorised or non-UK source. Please check with us directly.
3. Are all those labelling themselves "independent tutors" part of Powertex UK?
No. All of our Tutors are independent but only those listed in our private trade directory or in our official network are certified and recognised by Powertex UK. Some individuals advertise or refer to themselves as "independent tutors" because they have been removed from our network and wish to seem legitimate and/ or benefit from being part of our official network without meeting the necessary standards of practice. Removal from our network is rare and always for the most serious policy breaches. They are not permitted to use our registered trademark and we do not endorse brand use or claims of affiliation of anyone outside the official tutor network.
3. Are official Certified tutors still supported even if they also run independent events or sell work?
Absolutely. Our aim is to empower creative professionals through product access, promotions, and support. Mutual respect and integrity are key.
4. Is the tutor directory still public?
No—it’s now private. This change came after external parties used the former public directory to directly target our network, negatively affecting both our business and community. Access is now strictly managed. If you're looking for a local tutor, please get in touch with us directly.
5. Integrity of Our Space
We value creativity, respect, and mutual support and when those values are compromised, we act.
- If you see hostile, passive-aggressive or defamatory comments online, you can be confident they are not from, nor endorsed by Powertex UK or any of our official tutors or stockists.
· If you see individuals sharing such content on social media, please be aware that the individual may have been removed from our community due to significant breaches of trust or respect, and their actions are likely motivated by grievance or malice.
If you encounter this behaviour:
- Report it to the police if the content is threatening, offensive or causes alarm or distress.
- Report it to Facebook (or whatever the social media host platform is) if it constitutes harassment, bullying, or violates platform policies.
- Report it to us directly if it occurs within any of our Powertex UK community spaces.
· We strongly advise against engaging with malicious or defamatory content online. Individuals who post such material often seek conflict and validation and may quickly turn on those who interact with them, even in perceived support. For your own wellbeing, it is best to disengage entirely.
Powertex UK or any of our authorised representatives will never engage in bullies, sabotage or drama. We’re here to lift each other up, always.
